Following the relief efforts in the flood-hit areas, a medical camp was organized in Erendabari on 9th October 2010 with the financial support of KK Foundation-KKF and Give Bangladesh. Our goal was to ensure first aid for 500 people, including 150 children. At the same time, the initiative of Project Kannya provided sanitary napkins to 150 adolescents and women. Along with the distribution an awareness session was also organized about their health during menstruation. As per the suggestion and prescriptions by the doctors, the medicines were explained and given among the patients. The students of the Pharmacy were overall in-charge of this work along with the professional doctors. For this purpose our local partner was Gono Unnayan Sangstha (GUS) and part of the medicines were donated by ACME Bangladesh.
