Nearly two out of three women in Bangladesh experience gender-based violence during their lifetime. Violence ranges from sexual harassment and emotional abuse, to child marriage, stalking, sex trafficking, acid attacks, rape and dowry killings. KKF works to combat violence against women and girls and to eliminate all forms of gender discrimination. The aim is to ensure the sustainable development goal of achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls (SDGs 5 and 8). Our services include psychological counseling, leadership development training, sexual harassment redress mechanisms, engaging with peer groups, sensitizing and involving community actors and mobilizing local administration.
